What is OrCAD Capture CIS

OrCAD® CIS (Component Information System) provides easy
access to your company’s component databases and part
information. Seamlessly integrated within OrCAD Capture,
OrCAD CIS greatly enhances the part selection and verification process and significantly boosts your productivity
by reducing the amount of time spent researching for
parts or reusing existing parts, eliminating manual entry
of part information, and maintaining synchronization of
component data.
Supported Operating Systems
Only available for Windows. Mac and Linux users will need to install Windows first. Mac users can get more information about installing Windows here: How to Install Windows on a Mac
VPN requirement
Connection to campus VPN is not required.
Downloading and Installing OrCAD Capture CIS Lite
Steps to download and install:
- Download SPB_17.2.exe from UA-Box via this link: | https://alabama.box.com/s/l3bxasa9phvb9xxfg63kscuc3vjzco11
- Run SPB_17.2.exe to unzip the archive
- Inside the SPB_17.2 folder, open the Tools folder, open the Bin folder, and run the Capture.exe
