What is Civil 3D

Supported Operating Systems

Win10-logo.png Civil 3D is only available for Windows. Mac and Linux users will need to install Windows first.

VPN requirement

Vpn-depends.png Connection to campus VPN is not required to license Civil 3D for student version but is required for faculty version.

Downloading Civil 3D to a Windows Computer

Civil 3D is available for free for faculty, staff, and students. Go to https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/featured#free-software and select Civil 3D. Create an account if you don't already have one. When creating an account remember to always use your crimson email. Once you are signed in or your account has been created, scroll to the drop down boxes to select the version of Civil 3D - check your syllabus or contact your instructor for in-class purposes. Then select your operating system, always check "Windows 64-bit" if available. Finally select your language and click INSTALL NOW tab at the bottom of the page.
