What is RISA

From RISA.com:
RISA has been developing leading-edge structural design and optimization software for over 30 years. Their products are used to design towers, skyscrapers, airports, stadiums, petrochemical facilities, bridges, roller coasters, and everything in between. With RISA's versatile modeling environment,and intuitive graphic interface, you can model any structure from bridges to buildings in minutes. UA has licenses for 3 of their packages: RISA-3D, RISAFloor, and RISAFoundation.


Downloading and Installing RISA

Windows installation files can be downloaded from our UA Box site (requires myBama login):


When installing, select license type: Network Perpetual License (Using Your Server). After installing, run the RISA Server Browser and enter risa.eng.ua.edu.

The license is only available on campus.

RISA only runs on Windows 10. Mac users will need to install Windows first.
